Episode 9: Title & Mini-Synopsis
Hey everyone!
Episode 9 is now complete. Whew! I'm very happy this one is done! There was so much happening in this one that I kinda dreaded it! Unfortunately, so much happens in this episode as result of what happens in episode 8, that the synopsis isn't really going offer much insight into the episode. I wouldn't want to ruin any of the surprises for you! :-)
Episode 9: "From Top to Bottom Part II"
Cameras finally start rolling on Austin's movie; Dru must decide whether he's going to do something he said he'd never do; Jeremy's sudden illness leaves Reese and Kyle scrambling to find a replacement in their marquee scene; Austin appears on "The DL" with Kyle as special guest co-host; Relationships begin to come into question; April's hiding a secret; Austin turns to an unlikely source for help.
I look forward to episode 10, which will see many story lines from the first 3 episodes of the season come to a close and start all new ones that will finish out the season. Episode 10 is currently titled: "And the Winner Is..."
Until next time!

Episode 8: NEW TITLE & Mini Synopsis
Hey everyone!
Episode 8 is now complete. Shocker, the title changed back to the original title after I made a couple more changes while writing this episode. This is a very sexual, yet emotionally charged episode.
Season two most definitely seems to be moving away from the comedic side season one had and is focusing on the heart and emotion of all the characters as they face a wide variety of challenges.
I'm still very excited about season two. It remains the same show at it's core, but really dives into the characters even more than before.
Without further rambling, here's the mini synopsis for episode 8:
Episode 8: "Cherry Poppin' Part I"
Reese/Kyle's movie goes into production as Dru/Austin continue to struggle with scenes/casting choices; Courtney helps April with a difficult decision; Austin may be pushing Dru to hard; All four boys have serious discussions over scene partners and the impact it's having on their relationships; Dru makes his first appearance on "The DL"; Ian's obsession leads to a heartbreaking moment for one of the boys.
The plan is to write Episode 9, the second half of this two-part episode, next weekend. It's currently titled "From Top to Bottom Part II"

Update
Hey everyone,
Very happy to announce that I'm figured out what needed to be done to make episodes 8 & 9 work out in their reversed state and will get started on writing episode 8 this weekend.
Episode 8 did undergo another title change, now it's being called "From Top to Bottom Part I"
While figuring out episodes 8 & 9, I also made the decision to switch episodes 11 & 12 as well. Episode 12 was originally slated to be the crossover / back-door pilot episode for another gay themed, currently untitled drama/mystery series I'm thinking about launching. That will now be episode 11 instead. This crossover episode will introduce us to two of the main characters and two or three recurring characters. The rest of the cast will be introduced in the first episode, should the new series move forward.
I've VERY happy with the direction of season two. I think it will by far and away blow season one out of the water (and I really liked season one!).
I've got some preliminary ideas on season three's direction, but absolutely nothing has been locked in stone yet. Once I figure out where season three will go, I'll have a better idea of how to craft episode 13, which is currently slated to be the final episode of season two.
I can't wait to share season two with all of you on March 18th 2014!
If you haven't purchased season one yet, now's the time. You can be all caught up and ready to go when season two is released!
Cheers

Second 5 Star Reader Review!!
Just noticed a second reader review! Another 5 stars!!
By Chris
I came across this and did not expect it to be so well written and so funny considering the subject matter. Yes, there are boys on camera but the reader gets the chance to see just how much goes on after the camera cuts. I definitely recommend this for anyone who isn't too prudish for a touching and funny series about a group of people that start a business together.
If you've read dru-maddoX.com season one - please write a review on the amazon.com page! I'd love to hear your feedback! Good or bad!!
Puttin' on the Brakes!
Hello hello everyone!
So, while I had hoped the next post would be saying episode 8 was completed, here's the mini synopsis, sadly I had to slam on the brakes for episode 8 as I realized I had a fairly big structural flaw with episodes 8 and 9 actually.
In a nutshell, the kinda jaw-dropping cliffhanger at the end of episode 7, which I've known about since the initial conception of season two's arcs, made the plans for episode 8 virtually impossible. In the back of my head, I thought I could just work around it, but when I was laying everything out, it just didn't work. I also need a little more time to introduce the new recurring characters better.
The original idea to fix this mess I got myself into, was to just flip flop episodes 8 and 9, focusing on Dru/Austin's movie first, then come back to Reese/Kyle's movie in episode 9. But then I started thinking, why even separate the movies at all, why not just mash everything together into a two-part episode instead?
So that's the new plan - the show's first two-part episode. I know I talked about doing that in the season one, but logistically it didn't make sense to do that with episodes 4 and 5 (for those of you that have read it, it just wouldn't have worked, right?)
But in this instance, it totally makes sense and I'm running with it.
This two-parter, whose titles are now going to be reversed, with "Role Reversal" becoming episode 8 and "Cherry Poppin'" becoming episode 9, will more than likely be the most sexually charged episodes yet. There will most likely be at least 3 "scenes" from each movie in these two episodes.
I do have to be very careful with these next two episodes, as they are the catalyst for the rest of the season's stories, which also carry over into the first episode or two of season three.
Here's a fun fact of the day for you: I HATE writing the "scenes" for this show. I absolute dread them when it comes time to write them. The big scene in episode 3 with Austin/Reese was 9 pages of torture for me. That scene was a big part of the reason why you didn't see anymore "scenes" in episodes 4-6. While I always try to make those scenes move the story forward and not just be there for the sake of being there, I still despise them with a passion. For all 4 boys, this movie battle tests them in so many different ways and ultimately will change the course for all of them.
I dread the "scenes" for these next two episodes, but know it's a must to move all of their characters forward!
So the new plan is to write part one next weekend and then part two the weekend after. That'll put me at the half-way mark for the season, keeping in mind that season two will have seven episodes instead of the six episodes season one had :-)
Until next time!
